IST-Africa 2019 is part of the IST-Africa Week 2019 supported by the European Commission (EC) and African Union Commission (AUC). Taking place in Nairobi, Kenya in May 2019 it is the fourteenth in an annual series of Ministerial Level Technology Research Conferences.

The IST-Africa 2019 includes a series of thematic priorities related to Careables:

• mHealth, eHealth & Health Information Systems
• Collaborative Open Innovation and ICT-enabled Entrepreneurship (including Social Entrepreneurship)
• Societal Implications of Technology
